The Art Institute is the second-largest art museum in the country, and for the fifth year in a row, it ranks among the top five museums in the world according to the TripAdvisor travelers. With galleries filled with everything from America’s greatest collection of Impressionist paintings to extraordinary works by modern masters, the museum also presents 30 special exhibitions a year, as well as hundreds of gallery talks, lectures, performances, and events.

FOR THE ARTIST IN US ALL

During Museum Week, visit your favorites from our collection or join us for special exhibitions like Rodin: Sculptor and Storyteller, a focused exhibition that brings together sculptures and drawings from private collections and the museum’s holdings to explore the artist’s creative process and his narrative skill.
